Sorry for the silence! There has been lots going on, especially with all the fun new stuff developing at our Manhattan studio. I keep on having to remind myself to document as much as possible, as there are so many great perspectives and interests that come through our studio and classes..
The adult weaving class made some beautiful works on the Schacht Wolf Pups…
The next weaving class starts in Brooklyn TONIGHT and there are still a couple of seats left! More info
Our Natural Dyers made bundles with raw dye material, like rose petals, seaweed, marigolds, hibiscus, Birch leave and bark, safflower and more. They came out so beautifully….
Natural Dyes seems to be the thang this summer… Here is what we have to offer:
Natural Dye Weekend Intensive in Brooklyn, July 21+22
Natural Dyeing Summer Getaway in the Catskills- a 5 day Natural Dye class immersion in which students will explore the art of dyeing fiber using natural materials from the Catskils’ indigenous bounty of dye sources! What could be better?
And then of course our Dye Garden and CSA (which is full) however we are always in need of volunteers…
More classes in Natural Dyeing at TAC..
Also, TAC retail is starting to look pretty amazing. Our friend and colleague Elise McMahon has built the most beautiful poplar display furniture for the shop. I can’t wait for it all to be set up!
