Recycling At Its Best: Finnish Artist Turns Clothing Into Art

We are all about recycling here in Brooklyn. So when we see art installations that involve the beloved deed of giving back to good ol’ Mother Nature, we are more than excited. Finnish artist, Kaarina Kaikkonen chooses second-hand clothing as her preferred and most used medium, and has for over 20 years. The pieces transform unassuming streets and add new spirit and liveliness where ever they are.

At last, someone that has the conception and dream to cast upon the earth color and cloth with what has been tossed away and let our eyes enjoy a new feast. Thank you
