Perfect Summer Dress

Dresses are my favorite Summer outfit and I’m always in search for my new favorite dress. Unfortunately, usually the perfect dress only exists in my mind.

A couple of months a go, I decided to pro-actively make the prefect dress come true and I took a sewing class at TAC. As a textile lady, it’s pretty embarrassing that my sewing skills are so bad, but the Sewing 101 class was great to get me started on the ins and outs of sewing a garment from a pattern. Using the lovely Wiksten tank top/dress pattern, I learned how to make a nice summer dress or tank top, adjusting the length and the shape.

Just in time for the hot NYC Summer, TAC is offering a Sewing 101 Weekend Intensive in July, in which you’ll get started in sewing with a Wiksten dress/tank top or a tote bag of your vision.
