Inspiration: Izziyana Suhaimi

Izziyana Suhaimi makes beautiful work using mostly embroidery. She plays with other materials like pencil and paper along with embroidery in a collage like manner. She is interested in blurring the boundaries between traditional and modern society. Using a tedious, work intensive technique she rejects contemporary mass production.

  1. A great inspiration! I think I’ll try it on my own.
    Have a nice weekend

  2. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance. I must say you’ve done a awesome job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome. Excellent Blog!

  3. I’m really inspired by Izziyana Suhaimi’s work. Her choice of materials, visual language and technique are amazing! I recently started using strands of my own hair in my fiber art work, and I’m excited about exploring embroidery and stitch technique further. Thanks for all the excellent posts…such a wonderful blog!
