Coast to Coast: Meet Assemble Gallery&Studio

I just got back from a really really sweet vacation in Seattle. It was my first time in the Pacific Northwest, and I loved being so near the water, lush Nature, and the dramatic mountains!

I got a chance so visit really cool places, including what could be our “NW-twin sister”, Assemble Gallery & Studio.

Emily and Andie, who I had the chance to meet in my visit, started Assemble in 2009 in Seattle, with the mission  to “showcase craft as modern art, while teaching both traditional and avant-garde crafting techniques in a workshop environment”. Assemble space includes acts as a workshop studio, a store and a gallery space, providing different opportunities to the community.

The gallery space currently features prints from some regular Assemble’s artists, like Jessica Swift, Lisa Congdon, Laura McCabe and more! And the store features work from local designers and printmakers, and more.

If you visit Seattle, you should definitely stop by Assemble to say HI  and for some NWrn inspiration!
