I am SO glad to be a part of Kat’s Japanese Shibori class over at TAC Manhattan!  Shibori is an ancient Japanese resist-dye technique, using Indigo dye, that involves creasing, folding, dyeing, binding and knotting, to create a variety of well-defined patterns on silk, cotton, and linens.  The processes are easy to learn and materials easily acquired for one to continue on their own after the 4 weeks- although I’ve been taking advantage of the open studio time to experiment on an array of my clothing and linens!
