Artist Highlight: Tegan Brozyna

Since May, we’ve had the pleasure to work with an amazing set of summer interns. All of them extremely talented, and from diverse backgrounds… It’s been such a wonderful group so far.

In perusing facebook one awful, late night I stumbled upon an album that Tegan Brozyna had posted of her portfolio. Tegan currently is helping as Gallery Intern, and keeps pretty mum and humble about her own accomplishments while working hard for TAC.

I was so happy to come across this portfolio! It’s one thing to work with people who you know are bright and hard working, but to see the side of them you know exists, yet is not so readily available on a day to day basis, is extremely rewarding. When you’re working every day to make a business somehow succeed — even a creative one — you forget to make sure you see the creativity surrounding you every day.

Here’s a few of Tegan’s pieces that have been exhibited. Many mixed media, some purely textiles based, and others not.

Tegan often works with maps, and other themes related to the earth, geography, and place. (And who isn’t a sucker for maps):

Her prints, also, are often based in nature. A few of my favorites:
